Real Madrid recover attacking talent from injury with hope over two more for Clasico clash

Real Madrid have received largely positive news over their group of injured players, as they look to put their Madrid derby defeat in the rear-view mirror with a crucial run of games coming out of the international break. Los Blancos will travel to face Getafe this weekend, before hosting Juventus and Barcelona.
There is concern over the recovery of Dean Huijsen, who is yet to return to full training after straining his soleus. However Kylian Mbappe’s muscle discomfort felt while on France duty has been resolved, and he is expected to be back in training imminently. Ferland Mendy is also back in full training after six months out.
Franco Mastantuono back from injury
Another of their regulars, Franco Mastantuono, also returned early from international duty with an injury, leaving the Argentina camp with muscle discomfort last week. However Marca report that on Wednesday he returned to action with Real Madrid, training without issues under Xabi Alonso. The 18-year-old is set to be available for their weekend match at the Coliseum.

Optimism over Dani Carvajal and Trent Alexander-Arnold for Clasico
There is also increasing optimism over the prospects of Dani Carvajal and Trent Alexander-Arnold being back in contention for El Clasico next weekend. The latter was initially ruled out until November at the earliest, but now is hoping to shorten his recovery time from six to eight weeks down to five. His goal, as per Diario AS, is to ensure he is present for the Clasico, and he is predicted to be back on the training pitch shortly, although under no circumstances would he start against Barcelona.
Meanwhile Marca go on to say that while Carvajal will be out against Getafe and Juventus, there is confidence that he will be back to face Barcelona. It would save Alonso putting Fede Valverde back at right-back, where he operated against Villarreal. The Uruguayan has made a point of saying publicly that he would rather operate in midfield this month.
